Welcome to Derwent Valley Junior Football League

The Derwent Valley Junior Football League was formed at the start of the 70/71 season, originally for over 12’s and running in the evenings in March, April and May. Over the years the league has seen many changes and adapted to changing lifestyles with the introduction of mini soccer after 30 years and the change to Sunday fixtures more recently. 

Awards are given to the winners in all our league and cup competitions as well as the mini soccer tournaments which have become a popular feature of the season. 

The league has provided a fantastic sporting experience for thousands of young people in this area. Great friendships and rivalries have been formed and it has contributed to the positive development of many players giving a sense of pride, self-esteem, and the ability to contribute positively as part of a team.
